Syringing of the ears

A technique used by a physician to remove earwax. A syringe is used to gently squirt warm water into the ear canal. The water flows along the canal until it bounces off the eardrum. As the water flows back along the bottom of the ear canal, it carries out earwax.

The removal of built-up earwax or foreign objects from the external ear canal using water injected from a syringe into the ear passage.
