A narcotic analgesic, similar to morphine, used to relieve severe pain. It is administered by mouth or injection and, may cause nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, and confusion. Dependence may develop.
A synthetic derivative of morphine. It is an effective analgesic but, like morphine, is a drug of addiction.
