A tingling shock-like sensation passing down the arms or trunk when the neck is flexed. It is a nonspecific indication of disease in the cervical (neck) region of the spinal cord.
The symptom (rather than a sign) of a pain resembling a sudden electric shock throughout the body produced by flexing the neck. It is caused by trauma to the cervical portion of the spinal cord, multiple sclerosis, cervical cord tumor, or cervical spondylosis.
An abnormal sensation of electricity or “pins and needles” going down the spine into the arms and legs that occurs when the neck is bent forward so that the chin touches the chest.
