Irregular flowers

Those of which the parts of the calyx or corolla are dissimilar in size or shape (i.e. asymmetrical or zygomorphic flowers).

This name is given when members of the same sort as, for instance, the petals are unlike in shape or size.

One which is not radially symmetrical, with all peta ls equal, but only symmetrical on either side of one vertical plane; usually with either one or more petals enlarged as a lip, or with both a top and a bottom lip.

Having the petals arranged in some way other than radial symmetry, though almost always bilaterally symmetrical, such as on orchids and violets. The scientific term is “zygmorphic”.
