Epithelial cells found in the basal part of the intestinal glands (crypts of Lieberkuhn). Paneth cells synthesize and secrete lysozyme and cryptdins.
Large secretory cells containing coarse granules, found at the blind end of the crypts of Lieberkiihn (the intestinal glands). They secrete lysozyme.
