Major clade of seedless vascular plants sister to all other vascular plants (ferns+gymnosperms+flowering plants). The clade is distinguished in having non-specialised leaves called microphylls and simple vascular structures and consists of Isoëtaceae, Lycopodiaceae and Selaginellaceae.
