Acute alcoholism

A misnomer, since alcoholism is a chronic condition. The use of the term is inherently contradictory. Generally, is referring to intoxication through the use of alcohol or acute intoxication through the use of alcohol.


Intoxication, or the short-term disruption resulting from excessive alcohol consumption.
