The scientific database developed by ATSDR to manage data collection, retrieval analysis, and use through the more sophisticated technologies provided by computerization will allow agencies to locate information on the release of hazardous substances into the environment and ascertain the effects of hazardous substances on health with improved uniformity, efficiency, and precision.
