Hemopneumothorax

Accumulation of air and blood in the pleural cavity.


Blood and air in the pleural cavity, usually as a result of injury. Both must be drained out to allow the lung to expand normally.


Hemorrhage and the release of air into the chest, often as a result of trauma, but occasionally occurring spontaneously.


An accumulation of blood and air in the pleural cavity, which is the area between the lungs and the chest wall.
