Skin disorder characterized by light abnormal patches (hypopigmentation); caused by a burn or congenital disease that destroys the pigment-producing cells.
A persistent, innate skin condition characterized by areas lacking pigment that are typically bordered by regions with heightened pigmentation. Unfortunately, there is no cure for this condition, but the depigmented areas can be concealed by applying sun-tanning lotions and various cosmetic products. It is also referred to as lichromia, piebald skin, or vitiligo.
