A condition in which a woman has ceased menstruating but had previously menstruated at least once, primary amenorrhea.
Cessation of menses in women who have menstruated previously but have not had a period in 6 months. Pregnancy is the single most common cause of secondary amenorrhea. It should be excluded before other causes are sought.
