Arnold-Chiari malformation

A congenital condition in which the base of the skull is malformed, allowing parts of the cerebellum into the spinal canal [Described 1894. After Julius A. Arnold (1835-1915), Professor of Pathological Anatomy at Heidelberg, Germany, and Hans von Chiari (1851-1916), Professor of Pathological Anatomy at Strasbourg and later at Prague, Czech Republic.]
