Intervertebral foramen

A space between two vertebrae.

The large opening between the neural arch and the body of the vertebra that accommodates the spinal cord.

The opening between adjacent articulated vertebrae for passage of nerves to and from the spinal cord.

A natural gap situated between neighboring vertebrae (the bones of the spine), created by the spaces between the small notches on each side of the vertebrae. These openings serve as exit points for the peripheral nerves that branch out from the spinal cord.
