Abduct

Move an arm or leg away from the body.


To move away from the midline, adduct.


(Of a muscle) to pull a leg or arm in a direction which is away from the centre line of the body, or to pull a toe or finger away from the central line of a leg or arm.


To move a body part away from the center line of the body, as in testing range of motion or general function.


To move a limb or any other part away from the midline of the body.


To draw away from the median plane of the body or one of its parts.
