A localized collection of thin-walled blood vessels covered by a cap of warty material. It is most often seen as an isolated malformation in the genital skin of the elderly or on the hands and feet of children. It is not malignant and its cause is unknown. Angiokeratomas may be removed surgically. Multiple angiokeratomas affecting the viscera and skin are seen as a rare inherited and fatal disease ( Fabry’s disease).
A skin disorder occurring chiefly on the feet and legs, marked by formation of telangiectases or warty growths accompanied by thickening of the epidermis along the course of dilated capillaries.
