Aphtha

An ulcer of the mucous membrane, usually oral.


A small white ulcer which appears in groups in the mouth in people who have the fungal condition thrush.


Small ulcer, usually occurring in groups in the mouth as while or red spots. Their cause is unknown (though thought by some to be caused by infection) and only palliative treatment is available.


A small ulcer on a mucous membrane of the mouth, as in thrush.


A minor ulcer. These ulcers commonly develop in the mouth, particularly in children. They are also referred to as stomatitis.
