Arteriogram

An X-ray of a vein or artery that is obtained by injecting a radioactive substance into the blood vessel to be examined.

An X-ray photograph of an artery, taken after injection with an opaque dye.

X ray of an artery filled with a contrast medium.

A tracing of the wave form of an arterial pulse. This can be made directly, by means of an arterial needle puncture and pressure recording, or indirectly, by a recorder placed on the skin over an artery. The tracing may be recorded on a paper strip or on a screen (oscilloscope). Some heart defects produce characteristic pulse wave forms.

A radiograph of an artery after injection of a radiopaque contrast medium, usually directly into the artery or near its origin.

A radiographic procedure for obtaining an arteriogram.

A diagnostic procedure that entails the visualization of arteries and/or adjacent organs by introducing a contrast medium, commonly referred to as dye, into the artery and capturing an X-ray image.

An angiogram, obtained through the administration of an opaque dye via a needle or tube into the affected artery, resulting in an X-ray image of the artery.
