  • Medical treatment (For alcoholism)

  • Medical technology

  • Medical specialist

    A medical doctor who receives additional training and experience in a specific area of medical practice (Table M-l). A physician who has received additional training in a particular branch of medicine and has passed a test that certifies him or her to practice in that specialty.  

  • Medical practitioner

    A person who provides health services and who possesses a medical degree, e.g., MD and DO. A person qualified in medicine, a doctor or surgeon.

    Criteria of health status in terms of reactions to medical examinations, screenings, and results from laboratory tests.
