Bony enlargements or nodules, located at the proximal interphalangeal joints, that result from osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease.


In osteoarthritis, bony enlargement of the proximal interphalangeal joints.


In individuals with osteoarthritis, a condition affecting the joints, a bony protrusion known as a “swelling” can develop on the middle joint of the finger.
