Bradykinesia

A neurological condition characterized by a generalized slowness of motor activity. It is seen especially in parkinson’s disease and in lewy body dementia.


Extreme slowness of movement.


A condition in which the someone walks slowly and makes slow movements because of disease.


Abnormal slowness of voluntary movement and speech. Bradykinesia may occur as a side effect of medication, such as tranquilizers, or it can be caused by medical problems such as Parkinson disease (a progressive, degenerative disease of the nervous system characterized by muscle rigidity, weakness, and tremor).


A symptom of parkinsonism comprising a difficulty in initiating movements, slowness in executing movements, and an inability to make adjustments to the posture of the body.


Bradykinesia refers to the slow, writhing movements of the body and limbs that may occur in various brain disorders.
