    Tapering to a long tip (usually of leaf tips). Tapering gradually to an extended point. With a elongated, tapering point set off rather shortly from the main body. An acute apex in which the sides are concave and taper to an extended point. Tapering to a point.

    Armed with prickles (as distinct from thorns).

    In growing condition. Adjective applied to a medicinally potent herb in a blend. Lively and energetic. (Of a disease) having an effect on a patient. (Of a drug) having medicinal effect.
