  • Constraint-induced movement therapy

    A method of rehabilitation in which a patient is encouraged to use an injured body part by limiting the use of uninjured body parts. The technique is used, e.g., in rehabilitation from stroke.

    In genetics, always expressed.  

  • Colonic constipation

    The state in which an individual’s pattern of elimination is characterized by hard, dry stools, which results from a delay in passage of food residue.  

  • Constellation

    A group, set, or configuration of objects, individuals, or conditions.  

  • Conspicuity

    In radiology, the relative visibility of a lesion — how well it stands out against the images received from neighboring tissues.  

  • Conservatorship

    The preservation and protection of a dependent person’s self and property by another individual. The term does not refer to imprisonment or confinement in a psychiatric facility. This is called guardianship in some states.
