  • Granulomatous parotitis

    Granulomatous inflammation of the parotid gland, usually due to tuberculosis or sarcoidosis.

    Purulent conjunctivitis due to infection with gonococcus.  

  • Greater omentum

    The portion of the omentum that is suspended from the greater curvature of the stomach and covers the intestines like an apron. It dips in among the folds of the intestines and is attached to the transverse colon and mesocolon. It contains fat, prevents friction, and aids in localizing infections.  

  • Gluteal-femoral obesity

    Obesity in which fat deposits are located primarily below the waist in the hips and thighs. The health risks of gluteal-femoral fat appear to be less than those associated with abdominal obesity.  

  • Gaze evoked nystagmus

    Nystagmus upon holding the eyes in an eccentric position. It is due to dysfunction of the brainstem, or it may be caused by drugs such as sedatives or anticonvulsants. The direction of the nystagmus may change when the individual is fatigued or returns fixation to the primary position. This is called rebound nystagmus.
