Herald patch
A small spot of a rash such as pityriasis rosea which appears some time before the main rash. A solitary pink patch with a scaly border emerges on the trunk’s skin. Known as a herald patch, it appears about a week before the complete rash of the skin condition pityriasis rosea breaks out.
