  • Intradermal

    Within or introduced between the layers of the skin. A type of injection made directly into the skin, specifically the dermis. A medical phrase denoting “inside or within the skin.” For instance, an intradermal injection is administered into the skin, while a subcutaneous injection is given into the fatty layer beneath the skin.  

  • Intracutaneous injection

    An injection of a liquid between the layers of skin, as for a test for an allergy.
