Macrophage chemotactic factor
A lymphokine released by T and B cell lymphocytes in response to an antigen. It attracts macrophages to the site of the invading antigen.

Macrophage activating factor
A lymphokine that stimulates macrophages to become more effective killers of certain microbial cells. Macrophages stimulated by MAF can kill tumor cells.

Excessively large size of convolutions (gyri) of the cerebral hemispheres.

Macrogenitosomia praecox
Abnormal size of genitalia in the .developing fetus due to excess androgens (male hormones) from the fetal adrenal. In the female, this causes pseudohermaphroditism, and in the male, enlarged external genitalia.

Macrogametocyte
A large nonmotile reproductive cell developing from the merozoite of certain protozoans and fungi. Macrogametocytes are found in red blood cells infected with malaria.
