  • Neurogenic

    Coming from the nervous system. Referring to neurogenesis. Alluding to a condition correlated with impairments to the central nervous system.

  • Neurofibroma

    A benign tumour of a nerve, formed from the neurilemma. Tumor of the fibrous covering of a peripheral nerve. A tumor that originates from nerves and nerve tissue, primarily composed of fibrous elements. This condition is also referred to as neurilemmoma, neural fibroblastoma, or schwannoma.  

  • Neurofibril

    A fine thread in the cytoplasm of a neurone. One of the microscopic threads of cytoplasm found in the cell body of a neuron and also in the axoplasm of peripheral nerves.  

  • Neuroepithelioma

    A malignant tumour in the retina. A malignant tumor of the retina of the eye. It is a form of glioma and commonly spreads into the brain. A relatively rare tumor of the neuroepithelium in a nerve of special sense.  

  • Neurodermatosis

    A nervous condition involving the skin. Any skin disease of neural origin, including neurofibromatosis, von Hippel-Lindau disease, Sturge-Weber syndrome, and tuberous sclerosis.  

  • Neurodegenerative

    Referring to a disorder such as Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease that causes damage to the nerves. Concerning wasting, necrosis, or deterioration of nerves, neurons, or the nervous system.

    A benign tumour of a nerve, formed from the neurilemma. A firm, encapsulated fibrillar tumor of a peripheral nerve.
