Degenerative arthritis, osteoarthritis, of the cervical or lumbar vertebrae and related tissues. It may cause pressure on nerve roots with subsequent pain or paresthesia in the extremities.
Another term used to describe the neck condition known as cervical osteoarthritis is cervical spondylosis.
