The occurrence of galactorrhea (nonnursing lactation) and amenorrhea during the postpartum period; the disease may be due to a prolactin-secreting tumor.
Persistent lactation and amenorrhea following childbirth, caused by continued prolactin secretion and decreased gonadotropin production. A pituitary adenoma may be present.
