Chronic lymphatic leukemia

This illness typically manifests in mid to later stages of life and is rarely observed in children. It disproportionately affects males, occurring twice as often as in females. The condition is characterized by the enlargement of the liver, spleen, and all lymphatic tissue throughout the body. Additionally, there is a significant increase in the number of lymphocytes in the bloodstream. Regrettably, this disease is typically fatal, with an average life expectancy of only three to four years from its onset, or approximately one and a half years after beginning treatment. In exceptional cases, individuals may manage to extend their lives for 10, 15, or even 20 years.
