Cloaca

The end part of the hindgut in an embryo.

The most posterior part of the embryonic hindgut. It becomes divided into the rectum and the urogenital sinus, which receives the bladder together with the urinary and genital ducts.

A cavity lined with endoderm at the posterior end of the body that serves as a common passageway for urinary, digestive, and reproductive ducts. It exists in adult birds, reptiles, and amphibia, and in the embryos of all vertebrates.

The shared passage in the developing embryo where the intestines, reproductive organs, and urinary ducts all connect.

A cavity that begins within an affected bone and exits to the external surface.
