Prosthesis, usually removable, used to replace all of the dentition and related structures of the maxillary or mandibular arch.
It pertains to a complete array of maxillary or mandibular teeth, affixed to a synthetic foundation. Dentures are also commonly referred to as prosthetic teeth.
