Coronary bypass surgery

A surgical procedure in which a vein or artificial blood vessel is used to construct a detour around a blocked coronary artery.

A surgical procedure known as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) involves the placement of a shunt or graft that enables blood to bypass an obstruction within the coronary artery. This shunt is positioned from the aorta to a specific branch of the coronary artery, allowing blood to flow freely and bypass the blockage.
