Cribriform plate

In dentistry, the alveolar bone proper. Another example is the horizontal plate of bone of the ethmoid sinus, which is perforated by numerous foramina that allow passage of nerves through the bone.


The top part of the ethmoid bone which forms the roof of the nasal cavity and part of the roof of the eye sockets.


The thin, perforated, medial portion of the horizontal plate of the ethmoid bone; the olfactory foramina are passages for the olfactory nerve.


In the nasal cavity, there is a horizontal bone plate that is punctured with multiple openings, allowing for the passage of olfactory nerve filaments.


A skull bone penetrated by numerous openings through which nerve fibers traverse.
