Cyclodialysis

A surgical operation to connect the anterior chamber of the eye and the choroid, as a treatment of glaucoma.

An operation for glaucoma in which part of the ciliary body is separated from its attachment to the sclera, producing a cleft between the two. The aqueous humor comes into contact with the exposed surface of the ciliary body and some of it is absorbed from this surface. The pressure within the eye will be reduced if this absorption adds significantly to the drainage of fluid from the eye.

An operation performed in certain types of glaucoma to produce communication between the anterior chamber and suprachoroidal space for the escape of aqueous humor.
