Cystourethrocele

A condition in which the tissues supporting the bladder and urethra are weakened in women. The weakness can cause stress incontinence, in which urine can leak out when the woman sneezes, coughs, jumps, or lifts heavy objects. Most women with cystourethroceles develop them as a result of childbirth, which can weaken the surrounding pelvic muscles. Symptoms may not appear until after menopause, when the lack of estrogen weakens the pelvic muscles even further. In addition to stress incontinence, some women also experience lower back pain, a feeling of pelvic pressure, or discomfort in the vaginal area.

Prolapse of the bladder and urethra of the female.
