Cytarabine

A cytotoxic drug used to suppress the symptoms of some types of leukemia. It is administered by injection and can damage the bone marrow, leading to various blood cell disorders. Other side-effects are nausea, vomiting, mouth ulcers, and diarrhea.


A drug used mainly to induce remission of acute myeloblastic leukaemia. A potent suppressant of myeloblasts, its use requires monitoring by a Haematologist.
