Dendritic langerhans cells

A type of cell, located in the mucous membranes of the mouth and genital areas, that permits the human immunodeficiency virus (i.e., the virus that causes AIDS) to enter and infect the body—even when there are no cuts or abrasions through those mucous membranes.
