Dendritic polymers

Polymers (i.e., molecules composed of repeating atomic units within the molecule) that repeatedly branch (while “growing” due to the addition of more atoms in a repeating pattern) until that branching is stopped (e.g., by physical constraints, for those polymers within living tissues). In the absence of physical constraints, dendritic polymers can continue branching (and growing) until they form a complete (hollow) sphere.
