A neurotic condition characterized by a person being more depressed than could reasonably be expected under the circumstances. The duration of depression may be prolonged is characterized by headache, constipation, anorexia, and fatigue. The person is in touch with reality and often recognizes the source of the depression and frustration but overestimates its significance.
