With respect to movement of the mandible, a discursive movement that ends in the centered position and is indicative of interference during movement.


Any specifically defined variation from a particular requirement.


Uncommon forms of behavior.


The fact of being different from what is usual or expected or something which is different from what is usual or expected.


An unusual position of a joint or of the eye, as in strabismus.


Movement away from a normal course of activity, as an abnormal deflection of the line of sight.


Any abnormal position of one or both eyes. For example, if the eyes are both looking to one side when the head is facing forward, they are said to be deviated to that side. Such deviations of both eyes may occur in brain disease. Deviations of one eye come into the category of squint.


To deviate from a normal or established path.
