Doxepin

A tricyclic antidepressant medication used in the treatment of depression. Now available only as generic but may still be known by the discontinued brand names adapin and sinequan.

A drug used to relieve depression, especially when associated with anxiety. It is administered by mouth; side-effects can include drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, and digestive upsets.


An antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces peucetius caesius and used mainly in the treatment of leukemia and various other forms of cancer. Doxorubicin acts by interfering with the production of DNA and RNA. It is administered by injection or infusion; side-effects include bone marrow depression, baldness, gastrointestinal disturbances, and heart damage.
