Drag

The inferior or lower side of a refractory denture flask. It fits precisely with the upper (cope) side of the denture flask.


The fluid-dynamic resistance that acts on an object that is moving through a particular fluid.


In rescue operations, a general term referring to methods of moving a victim without a stretcher or litter. Usually employed by a single rescuer. There are three types of (a) blanket drag, by which one EMT encloses a victim in a blanket and drags him/her to safety; (b) clothes drag, by which one EMT can drag a victim to safety by grasping his or her clothes; and (c) fireman’s drag, by which one EMT crawls with the victim by looping his or her tied wrists over his or her neck to support the victim’s weight.
