Dupuytren’s contraction

A condition where the palm’s tissues contract, causing the fingers to curl into the palm and remain stuck in that position. People who frequently use tools like screwdrivers that exert pressure on the palm may eventually develop this issue. Often, only the little fingers of both hands are affected. A genetic predisposition appears to be a factor, as the condition is sometimes seen in multiple family members. Surgical intervention is the only definitive treatment for this deformity.
