Dura mater

The outermost, toughest, and most fibrous of the three membranes (meninges) covering the brain and spinal cord; called also pachymeninx.

The outermost layer of the meninges that cover the brain and spinal cord. The subdural space lies below it and separates it from the arachnoid membrane.

A tough, fibrous membrane covering the brain.

The thicker outer membrane of the three covering the brain.

Thickest and outermost of the three membranes (meninges) that enclose the brain and spinal cord (the others being the pia mater and the arachnoid membrane).

The tough, fibrous membrane that forms the outermost covering of the central nervous system.

The outermost and strongest of the three membranes or meninges which envelop the brain and spinal cord. In it run vessels which nourish the inner surface of the skull.

A fibrous connective tissue membrane, the outermost of the meninges covering the spinal cord (dura mater spinalis) and brain (dura mater cerebri or dura mater encephali).

Tough protective covering of the brain and spinal cord.

The outermost layer of the membranes that envelop the spinal cord and brain is known as the dura mater. This protective membrane serves as a sturdy barrier, providing support and shielding these vital nervous system structures from potential damage.

The outermost layer of the three membranes that envelop the brain and spinal cord, also known as the dura.
