Fenugreek

Leguminous herb with aromatic seeds full of calcium and other minerals.

This herb of Asian origin is characterized by seeds that possess a pungent, unique, and celery-like fragrance. It is a key component of high-quality curry powders and intriguingly, is also utilized commercially to impart a maple-like taste to candies. Its name is derived from two Greek terms that signify “Greek hay.”

A fragrant and pungent seasoning, reminiscent of celery in taste, is considered a vital component in numerous Indian recipes, and is also frequently utilized in Mediterranean cuisine. This leguminous herb has a resemblance to a tall clover, and is indigenous to Eurasia.
