Fibrocystic disease of bone

A medical condition characterized by excessive urinary excretion of calcium and phosphorus, along with the deterioration and replacement of bone tissue by fibrous and, to a lesser extent, osteoid tissue. This leads to the development of cysts and tumor-like formations in the impacted bones. Also known as osteitis fibrosa cystica generalisata or von Recklinghausen’s disease.
