This type of light, known as Finsen light, results from the absorption of heat rays through filters, leaving behind only violet and ultraviolet rays. It is named after the Danish physician who promoted sun-ray therapy. In the past, Finsen light was focused on specific small areas using lenses and was utilized in the treatment of skin diseases related to tuberculosis.
