Fusidic acid

An antibiotic used to prevent protein synthesis.


An antistaphylococcal antibiotic used both orally (by mouth) and topically (on the surface). Orally it is particularly useful in the treatment of osteomyelitis.


Fusidic acid is an antibiotic medication employed to treat various bacterial infections that are unresponsive to penicillin drugs. It is particularly useful in localized skin conditions like impetigo and is often found in topical preparations for skin application. Additionally, fusidic acid is utilized in eye and ear preparations for certain treatments.
