High‐water prosthesis. A screw‐retained, metal‐resin, implant‐supported, fixed complete denture. The term “hybrid” implies a combination of a metal framework with a complete denture (prefabricated resin teeth and heat‐polymerized resin). The term “high‐water” refers to the design of this prosthesis using long standard abutments with several millimeters of space between the prosthesis and the underlying mucosa of the edentulous ridge.
